Wright Motorsports heads to Sebring International Raceway determined to make a podium return in the second round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season—the Twelve Hours of Sebring. Following a challenging start to the year at the 24 Hours of Daytona, the Ohio-based team is focused on delivering a strong performance in one of the most demanding endurance races in North American sports car racing.
Piloting the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R Evo for the twelve-hour contest will be Adam Adelson, Callum Ilott, and Tom Sargent. The trio will take on the notoriously rough and unforgiving Sebring circuit, a track widely regarded by drivers and teams as one of the toughest venues on the calendar, both for man and machine alike.
Wright Motorsports has a strong history at Sebring, including a class victory in 2020, and is looking to add to their list of accomplishments at the historic Florida circuit. More recently, the team returned to the podium in 2024 with a third-place finish in the event, a result that included Adelson as part of the driver lineup.
With valuable experience and momentum from a successful test completed in recent weeks, the team arrives confident in their preparation for the twelve-hour battle. The test provided an opportunity to refine the setup of the Porsche and further strengthen the chemistry between Adelson, Ilott, and Sargent ahead of race week, notably as Ilott is set to tackle this race for the first time.
“I can’t wait to get back in the car after how the season started at Daytona, and it would be hard to imagine a better place to do it than Sebring,” said Adam Adelson. “The Porsche 911 and Sebring go together like PB&J, and the history and significance of this race make it even better. I know the whole team has been working hard to be ready for this one, and we’re all hungry as ever to get a good result.”
“It’s going to be my first time racing at Sebring,” Callum Ilott shared. “I’ve done many tests on the short track over the years in IndyCar, but to be able to experience the full circuit is very exciting. We tested there a couple of weeks back with the team and our pace was strong. I think it’s a track that will suit us pretty well, and it will be interesting going from daytime into nighttime running with the big transition in temperatures and how it will affect the balance of the car. The team is ready and we’re looking forward to it.”
“It’s always exciting to be heading back to Sebring where I first made my American racing debut,” added Tom Sargent. “It’s one of the greatest endurance races in the world. Last year we had a good package but we ultimately weren't able to execute on the final result. I’m looking forward to doing better this year and bringing home some trophies. Obviously, Daytona was not ideal for us, but for sure we’ll overcome this as a team and put our stamp back on this series. As everyone knows this race is chaotic and all about survival so we’re looking forward to showing our endurance expertise again.”
Wright Motorsports will return to the track for the second round of the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, taking place from March 19th to 21st, 2026. The 74th Annual Twelve Hours of Sebring kicks off Saturday at 10:10 AM ET, with flag-to-flag coverage on Peacock, as well as an international stream on the IMSA YouTube channel.
