Wright Motorsports returns to IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition this weekend as the team heads to upstate New York at Watkins Glen International for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen, the third endurance round of the 2026 IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup.
The Ohio-based Porsche team will field its No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) Evo in the GTD class with full-season drivers Adam Adelson and Callum Ilott rejoined by endurance driver Tom Sargent for the six-hour contest around the historic 3.4-mile circuit.
Wright Motorsports enters the weekend carrying strong momentum following a podium finish in the previous Michelin Endurance Cup round at Sebring International Raceway back in March, where the team secured third place. Most recently, Adelson and Ilott delivered a fourth-place result during the sprint event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in early May.
Watkins Glen has previously provided strong results for Wright Motorsports, including a third-place finish in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship competition in 2023. The team also arrives at Watkins Glen with valuable preparation already completed after conducting multiple days of testing at the circuit the week prior leading up to the event. Furthermore, both Adelson and Sargent possess added experience at the track, and will be bringing that knowledge into the event as they aim to contend for another podium result to add to their tally.

“It feels like forever since we’ve gone racing so I’m super excited to get back in the car at Watkins Glen,” said Adam Adelson. “This race hasn’t been kind to us the past couple of years, so I’m eager to give it another go. I know the team has been working hard behind the scenes to give us a great car, and I can’t wait to see how it all shakes out.”
“I’ve never been to Watkins Glen before and got my first experience at the track last week,” added Callum Ilott. “We had a productive test with the team and with Michelin to get some time with their new tires. What a great track! It requires a lot of commitment and there will definitely be a lot of exciting racing. It won’t be easy as this place tends to produce a bit of chaos as well, but our car handles very well and I’m confident we’ll have a fun and good race.”
“It’s always exciting to be returning back to the IMSA WeatherTech paddock after a few months off,” Tom Sargent shared. “I’ve done a lot of driving since my last race with the team at Sebring and I feel like I’m as prepared as ever for this round. I hope I can bring some new knowledge into the weekend as well along and try and help the team as much as I can. Last year’s event didn’t go amazing for us as we took heavy contact that was out of our control. But I feel the new Evo kit for the Porsche will suit us well at this track and we’re ready to come back and get a stronger result this year.”
Wright Motorsports will return to the track for the third round of the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup, taking place June 26th to 28th, 2026. The Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen goes green on Sunday afternoon at 12:10 p.m. ET, with flag-to-flag coverage available on Peacock, as well as internationally via the IMSA YouTube channel.
