Wright Motorsports to Withdraw No. 242 Porsche of Therese Lahlouh and Thomas Merrill from Barber Motorsports Park

Wright Motorsports has announced the withdrawal of the No. 242 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Therese Lahlouh and Thomas Merrill from this weekend’s GT World Challenge America event at Barber Motorsports Park, as Lahlouh continues her recovery following an acute illness and allergic reaction that occurred prior to the weekend.

While she continues to recover, the decision was made to withdraw the No. 242 Porsche from the Barber Motorsports Park event to allow her the necessary time to focus fully on her health and recovery.

“Therese’s health and well-being are our only priority,” said Bob Viglione, Wright Motorsports Team Manager and COO. “There is no question that giving Therese the time needed to recover is the right decision. The entire Wright Motorsports team is behind her, and we’re looking forward to seeing her back at the track at the Indianapolis 8 Hour.”

The Pro-Am class No. 242 Porsche 911 GT3 R will therefore not participate in the penultimate GT World Challenge America round at Barber Motorsports Park, but intends to return to competition for the season finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway scheduled for October 8th to 11th, 2026.
