SPEEDWAY, Ind., (October 15, 2025) – Just a few weeks after earning a podium finish at the hallowed grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s six-hour race, Wright Motorsports returns to the Brickyard with unfinished business. This weekend, the Ohio-based Porsche team will look to defend its crown in the Indianapolis 8 Hour, fielding two Porsche 911 GT3 R entries in the 2025 season finale for the Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and Intercontinental GT Challenge. The endurance classic begins Saturday, October 18 at 12:20 PM ET, airing live on the GT World YouTube page.
The reigning Indianapolis 8 Hour winners return with the same star-studded lineup that carried them to victory in 2024. Driving the No. 120 Wright Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3 R, 2024 GT World Challenge America champions Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer will once again be joined by Laurin Heinrich, the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech GTD Pro champion. The trio’s chemistry, consistency, and outright speed made them a dominant force last year, and together they’ll look to repeat history as they take on a stacked international field.
Their 2024 victory at Indianapolis was a pivotal moment in Wright’s continued rise as one of the world’s premier Porsche GT3 programs. Since then, the team has continued to perform at the highest levels, proving competitive not only in domestic championships but also in global endurance events such as the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa and the Nürburgring 3 Hour. These experiences have solidified Wright’s standing among GT3 racing’s elite.
Alongside the defending overall winners, Wright Motorsports fields the No. 10 Porsche 911 GT3 R in the Pro-Am class, piloted by Antares Au (HKG), Loek Hartog (NLD), and Patric Niederhauser (CHE). The trio joins a highly competitive Pro-Am grid featuring 12 entries within the 25-car field. The Wright-run effort combines Au’s developing GT3 experience with Hartog’s rising star power and Niederhauser’s proven speed and endurance pedigree. The combination makes for a strong lineup capable of challenging for class honors in the longest endurance races on the SRO calendar.
The Indianapolis 8 Hour has become a memorable event for Wright Motorsports, where Wright’s trademark precision, preparation, and performance have consistently translated to podium results.
With momentum from a strong season across both IMSA and SRO America programs, the team enters the weekend with confidence and continuity. From pit lane to the podium, Wright’s pursuit of excellence continues to attract top driving talent and solidify its reputation as one of the most formidable Porsche outfits in the world.
The Indianapolis 8 Hour begins Saturday, October 18 at 12:20 PM ET, concluding under the lights at 8:20 PM ET. Fans can follow all eight hours of action live on the GT World YouTube page, as Wright Motorsports looks to once again conquer the Brickyard.
